In 2017 we launched an appeal to raise funds to replace our leaking roof and upgrade the auditorium. The response was astounding and below you will find a list of our key benefactors. However, we need to replenish our reserves to provide a sound financial base and are still planning to upgrade and repair some of our facilities, so fund raising continues to be a necessity.

In addition we have been severely hit by the two lockdowns due to the Covid-19 virus and our cinema ticket income has been actutely hit. No theatre productions have been possible since the beginning of 2020. The Cinema has now been supported by the BFI and DCMS through their Culture Recovery Fund. But we still need to accumulate funds for capital spending on the theatre.

The Corn Exchange is an independent theatre owned by the Sinodun Players (charity number 259960) and is run entirely by volunteers. It is funded through ticket sales and donations. It does not receive operational funding support.
