    NT Live: Julius Caesar


    Recorded and shown as live. Nicholas Hytner directs a new take on the Shakespeare classic. Ben Whishaw (The Danish Girl, Skyfall, Hamlet) and Michelle Fairley (Fortitude, Game of Thrones) play Brutus and Cassius, David Calder plays Caesar and David Morrissey is Mark Antony. Broadcast from The Bridge Theatre, London.
    Caesar returns in triumph to Rome and the people pour out of their homes to celebrate. Alarmed by the autocrat’s popularity, the educated élite conspire to bring him down. After his assassination, civil war erupts on the streets of the capital.

    English National Ballet present Akram Khan’s original and highly acclaimed production.
    Filmed live at the Liverpool Empire in October 2017.
    The classic story of love, betrayal and redemption has been reimagined in this stunning new version, with sets and costumes by Academy-Award winning designer Tim Yip (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), and an ‘ominous, gothic’ (The Observer) adaptation of Adolphe Adam’s original score by composer Vincenzo Lamagna.

    NT Live: Macbeth


    Shakespeare’s most intense and terrifying tragedy, directed by Rufus Norris, will see Rory Kinnear and Anne-Marie Duff return to the National Theatre to play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.

    An American In Paris - The Musical
