Steven Spielberg’s latest film is a timely piece about the power of the press. Set in 1971, Meryl Streep plays Katharine Graham, the first female proprietor of a major US newspaper, the Washington Post, Tom Hanks is editor Ben Bradlee and the film follows their decision to publish the Pentagon Papers, classified documents about the government’s cover-up of actions in Vietnam.
