Anybody who has seen Bob Bowles knows that they are in the presence of someone truly special on Blues guitar – every Bowles gig is memorable and word has spread.  Matching him with Chris Cobbson, from Courtney Pine’s band and Osibisa, promises to create something one-off and not to be missed.

They will take us through a little of the history of the Blues and pay homage to some of its greatest legends. Backing them are drummer Rob Brian whose playing is “sublime” (Rhythm magazine). On bass is Paul Jeffries who plays with the very best and also happens to deserve an award for services to Jazz for the number of clubs and gigs he has created.  Completing the line-up is local pianist and Winter Blues organiser, Maff Potts, whose energy is a big hit with Bunkfest main stage audiences. This evening should be another WWBJ one-off show and a must for anyone with even a casual interest in the blues.
