Set in Yorkshire during the First World War, The Choral is a comedy drama following the members of the local choral society which recruits a group of teenage boys and girls to replace all the men who have enlisted to help the war effort. They work towards a performance of Edward Elgar’s ‘The Dream of Gerontius’ under the direction of the demanding Dr Guthrie.
