People often remark that Ben and Julian, individually, perform some of the most virtuoso and thrilling Jazz gigs in the UK today, and just for Winter Blues & Jazz they are here on the same stage together!

Ben Holder (35) is the most acclaimed and exciting jazz violinist in the UK. He kick-started 2024 with three sold-out shows in the Hamburg Philharmonic Hall, alongside full-house theatres in France. Joining him is Julian Stringle, about whom Sir John Dankworth said “He is probably the best clarinettist to emerge in British jazz for several decades, his playing has ‘world class’ written all over it”.  Backed by the hard swinging BHQ – Jez Cook (guitar), Paul Jeffries (bass) and Nick Milward (drums), all of whom play with the top flight of the British jazz scene, this is a remarkable evening in the making.
