    Local songstress Fleur Stevenson performs in top London venues and with the very best on the UK jazz scene and tonight will be joined by Art Themen, Denny Ilett, Dave Green and Sebastiaan De Krom. You can expect a heart warming evening of spellbinding tunes such as Frank Sinatra’s ‘Nice and Easy’, Ella Fitzgerald classics like ‘Let’s Fall in Love’ and Hoagy Chamichael’s ‘The Nearness of You’.

    People often remark that Ben and Julian, individually, perform some of the most virtuosic and thrilling Jazz gigs in the UK today, and just for Winter Blues & Jazz they are here on the same stage together!

    Ben Holder is the most acclaimed and exciting jazz violinist in the UK, and Julian Stringle “is probably the best clarinetist to emerge in British jazz for several decades” according to Sir John Dankworth. They are backed by the hard swinging BHQ – Jez Cook (guitar), Paul Jeffries (bass) and Nick Milward (drums).




    The Bob Bowles Chris Cobbson Blues Show

    Anybody who has seen Bob Bowles knows that they are in the presence of someone truly special on Blues guitar. Matching him with Chris Cobbson, from Courtney Pine’s band and Osibisa, promises to create something one-off and not to be missed.

    They will take us through a little of the history of the Blues and pay homage to some of its greatest legends. Backing them are drummer Rob Brian, Paul Jeffries on bass and local pianist and Winter Blues organiser, Maff Potts.

With a professional career of over 36 years, Phil has a great deal of material to draw on for his solo appearances, which are an eclectic mix of traditional tunes, covers of Springsteen or The Hollies, together with his own compositions and songs from his contemporaries.
