Baz Luhrman follows up his 2022 biopic with this documentary, featuring newly restored and previously unseen footage discovered in the Warner Bros. archives. Drawn from outtakes of Elvis: That’s the Way It Is and Elvis on Tour, and painstakingly restored and synchronised with original audio, the film captures Presley at the height of his stage presence. Combining concert performances with rare recordings of Elvis reflecting on his own life, Luhrmann moves beyond a traditional concert film or documentary to bring us an immersive portrait of the performer and the man.
