Glenrothan is a reflective family drama set against the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands, marking the directorial debut of Brian Cox. Alan Cumming plays Donal, returning home after decades in America to a fractured past and a struggling family whisky distillery. Reuniting with his brother, played by Cox, he must confront buried grief, old violence and the possibility of reconciliation. With a cast including Shirley Henderson, the film explores memory, identity and forgiveness, asking whether time and distance can ever truly heal what was broken.
