In an isolated rural community, a group of needlewomen introduce Maggie, a troubled newcomer, to their work and their simple way of life.

But in spite of everyone’s best efforts it becomes clear that the visit is not going as planned and tensions build to explosive levels.

Crowe crafts a layered and thought–provoking piece that blurs the lines between past and present, reality and simulation while asking whether returning to ‘a simpler time’ – even if we had a time machine – would solve anything.
