Ukrainian dancer Oleg Ivenko plays Rudolf Nureyev in this film telling the dramatic story of his escape from the KGB and defection to the West in 1961. Screenplay by David Hare and Julie Kavanagh, adapted from her biography of Nureyev. Ballet bad-boy and star Sergei Polunin also features as Nureyev’s roommate Yuri Soloviev.
