Students from Wallingford School perform two one-act murder mystery plays by Agatha Christie.
Afternoon at the Seaside takes place on a whimsical day by the sea in a British resort. An emerald necklace has been stolen and the Inspector has to investigate an extraordinary mix of characters.
In The Patient, Mrs Wingfield has been horribly injured in a fall from her balcony. Unable to communicate, it could have been an accident, attempted suicide or worse still a cold-blooded killer bent on murder. As relatives gather round her hospital bed the tension builds as an ingenious device helps Mrs Wingfield convey a message that could solve the mystery.
The cast consists of 21 students aged 12 -18 and is directed by Beatrice Marshall, a year 13 student at the school. Students are also involved in technical aspects of the production such as lighting and sound.
