Let’s Keep Protecting Each Other

We wanted to let you know what we plan to do in respect of the Government’s Covid-19 stage 4 guidelines. In doing this we are aware of the growing appetite for unhindered entrance to arts venues but also conscious of the large number of our customers who are still worried about this release, many of

How to book groups of seats safely

The current rules in place mean that we have to provide a mechanism to separate groups of people and the booking system at the Corn Exchange does this automatically so that there will be a gap between your group and the next one. But some people have had difficulty in managing to book multiple seats.

Reminder about booking tickets at the Corn Exchange (Updated)

We’re really pleased that many of you have booked tickets for film showings and live shows from 17 May at the Corn Exchange, as allowed in Step 3 of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown (full details on this link) . Corn Exchange open on Monday May 17th

Good news, the Corn Exchange is open! The Box Office will be open on Friday and Saturday mornings from 10am – 1pm as well as each performance evening from 7-7.45pm. Social distancing will still be in place but you can book seats together for your “bubble”. And you will still have to wear a mask.

Corn Exchange awarded a grant from the Culture Recovery Fund

The award was made by the British Film Institute on behalf of the Department of Culture,

When we re-open again, we will only be showing films. When the Government says it is safe to do

Sinodun Players and Corn Exchange awarded Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

The Corn Exchange in Wallingford and the Sinodun Players, resident company and owner of the theatre, have received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest possible honour for voluntary groups in the UK.

Planning appeal turned down

We had the wonderful news recently about the refusal of the planning appeal for apartments abutting the Corn Exchange. The Planning Inspectorate said that she was “considerably concerned” about the impact on future occupants of the appeal scheme from “structure-borne noise”. She found “serious question marks over a number of assumptions made” as part of
