Paul Thomas Anderson directs the first ever film adaptation of a Thomas Pynchon novel. Stoner private eye Doc Sportello gets involved in a kidnapping plot with ever more bizarre characters along the way. Inherent Vice is set in the psychodelic era of the early 70s and with soundtrack by Jonny Greenwood and narration/acting part from indie harpist and singer Joanna Newsom, this promises to be a groovy trip.
