The member’s of Causton’s amateur dramatic society are nervously preparing for the opening night of Amadeus at the town’s Corn Exchange Theatre, unaware that local resident Agnes Grey has been murdered and her body discovered in the river.

Inspector Barnaby & Sergeant Troy set out to discover who has committed this grisly murder -but there are also some mysterious events  unravelling in the theatre – with bloody results…

The cast includes over 150 ‘Supporting Artists’ or ‘Extras’ – local people of all ages, past and present – who spent two days waiting in the Regal and then three or four hours, on and off, taking part in the auditorium scenes.
