Director Alice Diop, known for documentaries, here makes a foray into courtroom drama, based on a real-life case.

Rama, a novelist attends the trial of a woman accused of killing her child, at the Saint-Omer Criminal Court. Rama intends to use her story to write a modern-day adaptation of the ancient myth of Medea, but her thinking is changed by the testimonies she hears.
