Based on a novel by a Norwegian/Danish writer and despite being set in Karmack, a small town in the American Midwest, featuring quite a lot of Scandinavians in the cast, this black comedy is about Frank Farrelli, hired as a middle man to deliver bad news in this economically depressed small town because none of the residents can bear to do it themselves anymore.
